Kevin Durant was brilliant with 39 points for Golden State, but Monday's NBA Finals finale didn't disappoint on the comedy front either.

A scary moment turned into a comedy session in the third quarter when Warriors guard Klay Thompson nearly took an ugly fall but was saved by teammate Draymond Green.

With disaster avoided, the internet quickly got to jokes.

And of course, folks couldn't not bring up Kevin Durant joining the Warriors to form a superteam last summer.

The Warriors' fan base, which is heavy on the Silicon Valley set and bandwagon riders, didn't escape roasting either.

Ultimately though, it was the Warriors celebrating their second title in three years as fans celebrated and confetti fell.
